driving south on lsd , chicago il, i decided to run a test to compare both radars, i ended up choosing Redline for my daily driving despite the occasional false alerts, i prefer to keep my record clean, now in some places they even check ur driving records if u’re looking for a job… hope this video will help you decide, redline camera, u be careful and watch for the signs nothing else, sometimes the 9500ix gives me the warning only after i see the redlight camera sign posted on the side of the road… it means it’s too late. with the GPS on , it doesn’t perform at its best , if you notice , it gave the detection when i almost got to the bridge , in the first video it gave me detection before the bridge , but redline gave it way before the ix anyway.

Last time (video) the Valentine One and the Escort 9500ci were running simultaneously to compare all 3 radar detectors. This time, to eliminate any possibility of interference to the Escort Redline by the Valentine One, only the Escort Redline was powered up. The result – even when mounted vertically, the Escort Redline was roughly half the range of the Valentine One at detecting the low powered, polarized 34.3GHz radar signal from the speed camera. Conclusion: Whilst the Redline would be suited for use outside of Western Australia (where there are NO Multanova 6F speed cameras in use), I do not recommend on relying on a Redline for suitable speed camera warning within WA – which is the only state in Australia that uses the Multanova 6F speed cameras. I won’t be trading in my V1 for an Escort Redline anytime soon…
You’ve finally come to the conclusion that a radar detector is the right product for you at this time. Like many others, perhaps you have grown tired of constantly checking your side and rear mirrors when driving on the highway, or maybe there are speed traps or red light cameras popping up in the neighborhoods you travel through every day. Whatever the reason, it is spot on to understand that a radar detector, such as the new Escort Redline, is the best way to gain ultimate confidence on the road.
For any detector, there are radar detector accessories galore. Some eliminate the detector sitting on the dash by giving it a home on the windshield; others lend flexibility and convenience. The bottom line is that through the myriad of accessories available, one can extend the functionality of their radar detector with ease, and therefore make their driving experience a safer one. By carefully choosing your own radar detector and then choosing the right accessories to go along with it, you can rule the road and feel confident that your equipment will operate to its highest potential.
