The ultimate radar detector from Bel, the Beltronics STI Driver has finaly arrived. Thanks to Bel, the Beltronics STI Driver, has acheived the absolute “impossible ” in radar detectors They have pioneered the manufacture of a superhetrodyne detector which does not produce LO leakage Very common and typical of radar detectors – Lo leakage is what RDDs (radar detector detectors) such as the STALCAR/SPECTRE rely upon to alert police of radar detector usage.

What does this mean for professonal drivers seeking the perfect Radar detector. Simple !! The Beltronics STI Driver is the ultimate weapon ever created against Police radar, being absolutely undetectable against all Police radar and RDD’S.

The Beltronics STI Driver It is a major advancement in technology where professional drivers (especially truck drivers who are federally restricted from operating a detector because of certain laws) and drivers in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and under radar detector law restricted states like the District of Columbia, Canadian provinces, and certain other countries like Australia – where usage is banned, however in Australia the Ideal detector is the Beltronics STI XR which is really the Beltronics STI Driver. You can now drive with the peace and assurance of knowing RDDs can not be used against you when using a radar detector.

Beltronics is the first and only radar detector manufacturer to produce such a detector

From what we have discovered, and to our understanding the Bel Sti Driver was a built entirely on a new platform rather than using the same old existing radar detector manufacturing lines, although the Beltronics STi Driver appears to share similar lines of the same DNA with the Beltronics RX-65 Pro.

Upon opening the BELtronics STi Driver package Kit, we quickly came came to recognise, that this is not your ordinary radar detector.

The Beltronics STI Driver radar detector also includes a direct-hardwire kit and a seperate speaker for much noiser surroundings, like trucks of all sizes or very noisy cars

The Beltronics STI Driver has external dimensions which are slightly larger.

The Beltronics STI Driver weight characteristics have increased however. That is not a bad thing. We tested the weight of the Beltronics STI Driver against the oposition and this is what we found

Valentine 1 – 181.5g

Escort 8500 X50 – 253.7g

Beltronics RX65 Pro – 236.6g

Beltronics STi Driver – 291.6g

<!– blp –>

Lets face facts here now. How many times have people complained about products getting cheaper and lighter. Well let me add, the Beltronics STI Driver is far from that.

It is a definite pleasure to be able to hold in your hands absolutely mastered electronic wizardry like the Beltronics STI Driver. Also, similar to the Valentine One, its outer case is also constructed of Magnesium, further enhancing its stealth capabilities. Huge Bonus that is !!

Upon handling the Beltronics STI Driver, we came to the conclusion, that the Beltronics STI Driver is clearly the Mustang of Radar Detectors. In comparison to other Radar detectors, we are pleased to see The Beltronics STI Driver exceeded all expectaions with solid construction by very noticeable margins.

Ku Band is currently not available with the Beltronics STI Driver. This should not concern many drivers in the US, as it is not currently in use and does not appear to be coming anytime soon either.

Compared to the RX-65 Pro, there is no apparent setting for Ka International, what impact this would have abroad, is at the current time unknown

The Beltronics STi Driver also currently retains the ability to auto mute and provides a quick reach mute button on the power adaptor plug. Added benefits of this Range of Detector

With the BEL STi driver, Beltronics has added an extra feature to this detector of beeing able to auto dimm its display (as does the Valentine V1) in different or adverse lighting conditions – This is definitely a most welcomed feature -The driver still has manual settings display of bright, medium, dim for manual entries. The Beltronics STi Driver also has the added ability to go completely dark. The only indication the unit is still actively on is from the lighter adapter.

The Beltronics STI Driver also has illuminated push buttons on its front face panel, which really appeals to our visual senses.

The BEL STi driver also has great and unique ability to have its display inverted to maximize Radar Detector Mounting. From a radar detector comparison, the Beltronics STI Driver is definitely on Par with the RX-65 and Valentine-1 in regards to it’s signal detection, X, K, and KA Band.

Since Its technological creation, it’s very clear to us, Beltronics definitely has a fierce competitor and winner on its hand – with the BEL STI driver – and they achieved their design goal to create a most effective radar detector tailored for the professional driver and enthusiast drivers.

On the grounds that Beltronics STI Driver can not be detected by any current radar detector detector or RDD (including the Spectre) is a real bonus lift for truck drivers, driving enthusiasts in VA, Washington, DC, and certain Canadian provinces.

In our own oppinion The Beltronics STI Driver is a clear winner. It may be worth decent dollars, but the benefits are certainly worth it

www.RadarDetector.org – Review of the Bel RX65 radar detector by Radar Roy. The RX65 is a high performance dash mounted radar detector from Beltronics and is one of Roy’s top picks in the 0 price category, watch this video to find out why.
