I was cold busted here. I had dropped my radio remote control and had just recovered it when I got tagged with instant-on. I have no idea how I drove away from this without a ticket. I don’t think this was CHP, because they almost always use laser for situations like this. The gun he used looked to me like a Kustom Talon II, which the CHP doesn’t even use. I think this was Irwindale PD running a speed trap on the 605 that runs through their city.

I knew this was a speed sign, because the locals in this town use 35.5Ka. The sensitivity difference between these two radar detectors is pretty apparent.

The Infiniti Laser Guided Cruise Control system causes false alerts on just about any laser detection/jamming system. Totally annoying!

The first two minutes of this video, there is an Infiniti SUV right behind me. The laser guided cruise control that Infiniti uses is what is causing these false alerts. I have no idea what caused the second false alert, but either way, I am 1000% sure that I was not tagged by either the Riegl or the TraffiPatrol XR, since neither gun is even used in my country.

I ran both jammers together to test for interferences. There didn’t seem to be any problems. Both my LIs and my ZR4s ran together and the LIs by themself JTG the PLI. Punchthrough against only the ZR4s was anywhere from JTG to about 200ft.

We did several runs against the PLII and there does not seem to be any interference or crosstalk between the two systems. The LIs by themselves seem to work just as well as the LIs and the ZR4s together.

CHP loves to sit on an onramp where someone on the freeway would have no shot to see them and pick off drivers that speed by using forward facing Stalker 34.7Ka. Good luck detecting this with a Cobra.
