Valentine 1 k band false for miles

V1 3.872 falsing k for miles my 2nd day of ownership of this brand new Valentine 1 Radar Detector. The detector is running in A mode, default settings. Clearly, you can see that I’m driving in a rural area. There are no automatic door openers for miles. Why is my V1 falsing K so badly? So far, my 2 year old Escort 8500 x50 has been beating out or on par with the V1 when it comes to detecting real world LEO threats.

Poor performance against K band by both of my rds. The curve in the road was probably the major contributor to the poor range on both of my rds.
