Total Tracking Laser
Unlike Radar signals, which are highly reflective, laser signals have very poor reflective characteristics. Many of today’s laser detectors do not have the high sensitivity necessary to detect laser within a large “field of view.” The Vector 940 incorporates Beltronics’ best laser detection, which uses twin laser ports to detect energy far outside the main laser beam–including off-axis signals–providing a 360-degree field of view. The alerts provided by your unit are the same whether signals are received from the front or rear.

How Safety Radar Works
Safety Warning System (SWS) a modified K-band radar signal to alert users of Highway Construction or Maintenance, Highway Hazard Zone Advisories, Weather Related Hazards, Travel Information/Convenience, and Fast/Slow Moving Vehicles. The sensors, placed one mile apart, are solar powered, have no wires and begin collecting and transmitting traffic data immediately. The K-band signals used in the monitoring process send false alerts to radar detectors—the sensors turn on and off cycling about once each minute. The outlook is for continued expansion of the use and installation of the traffic flow measurement systems and K-band sensors. ESCORT radar detectors with the proprietary Traffic Sensor Rejection (TSR) software prevent the false alerts generated by the presence of the traffic flow sensors.

This is a series of alerts I received 2 days in a row in the same vicinity upon my LI Quad system. I also have an Escort 9500ix that did not alert to these which could possibly signify that one of my LI rear heads (sensor#1) could be going bad or perhaps an Infinity SUV (known offender) could’ve set it off but 2 days in a row in the same place?
