Two experiences with the 9500ix detecting Ka band radar in an area where there was a locked out K band signal.
sign board that has ak band antenna on it. usually get better range on the first hill it goes off, but didnt that day. still decent range over a hill. i have x-band and POP off and SWS off too.
just out for a drive and my Escort 9500ix picked up a photo radar truck. and NO IT WAS NOT the road sign that was the blip of K-Band for a sec. before and after that it was Ka-band. it was the silver gmc canyon parked on the side of the road facing west almost 2km away.
This site gave an early warning but it may not have been enough to cause a driver to let off.

Local was running C/O Ka band, the Escort 9500ix did a good job picking it up over a few small hills.
I got a Instant On alert on my Escort 9500ix from the State Police, I think he hit somebody in his lane on the other side of the barrier. He would have had to go about a 1/2 mile before he could have turned around. If the cement barrier was not there I could have been in trouble had no advanced warning.
As I get on the toll road I get some info on the CB about a bear at mm 83. Then you will see the Escort 9500ix alert to Ka band 35.5 when I get closer and you will hear the truckers call him out again.
