Both detectors belong to my friend(aka claya91). He was using a bushnell K band radar gun and we did some around-the-bend testing. Not the most scientific testing, and yes I know that running 2 rd’s at once can affect performance so don’t go screaming at me about that. They weren’t that close together so I don’t think it mattered too much. And sorry about the camera shaking and moving, it was just sitting on the back headrest because we didn’t have a camera man

Ok and that’s why I said this isn’t the most scientific testing in the description…

Both have already been tested and show minimal emissions from the V1, and barely anything out of the 9500, Could have them touching and they wouldn’t interfere.

Why didn’t you place them in the same spot?

@PACER2320
do u know when the patent is expiring

@stockscalper
I agree with ur comment
v1 sucks
February 21st, 2010 at 6:07 am
they would be more likely to interfere with each other
February 21st, 2010 at 6:14 am
u should mount them at the same position
February 21st, 2010 at 6:24 am
you should swap mounting positions between the two and retest.

from what I hear, the V1 arrows are patented… but I think that patent may expire soon. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Im a V1 fan but escort should come out with a radar that has arrows…
February 21st, 2010 at 7:36 am
And so is the V1
February 21st, 2010 at 8:23 am
8-tracks were from the 70′s….
February 21st, 2010 at 8:36 am
Yes the V1 wins at finding all the door openers, Cobras and lamp posts. If you like big hair and 8 track tapes and everything else from the 80′s then the V1 is for you!

9500ix all the way for features and filtering. auto learn feature rocks.
February 21st, 2010 at 9:35 am
it was in highway mode
February 21st, 2010 at 10:08 am
Can’t tell if the IX is in auto or highway mode.

Yeah, I’d say the ix is definitely better if you live in or primarily drive through cities or urban areas where there can be a lot of falses. But the V1 undoubtedly has the edge when it comes down to raw sensitivity. But its main downfall is its almost complete lack of filtering. Escort also recently released the “Redline” which will compete with the V1 as it is also just a raw sensitivity RD, no GPS or advanced filtering like the ix.

Nice comparison, I love my 9500ix though. I only paid $400 brand new because I bought it on clearance from a Best Buy that was closing dow. Looks like the V1 has better sensitivity and range for Ka and Laser, but I love the GPS and Autolock features on my Escort.

Valentine One for the win as usual!
