The CHP had to be using rear facing radar, based upon the alert range and behavior of my 9500ci.

Nope. This was definitely constant-on all the way. The 9500ci automutes at 0:08, but you can still hear the 9500ci alert the whole time, if you listen carefully. The automuted alert is still easily heard in the cabin, but it doesn’t translate to video very well, because the 9500ci’s speaker is mounted down by my left knee.

The 9500ci’s radar antenna is mounted in the car’s front grille and the Whistler was mounted just to the right of the rear view mirror.

judging by the video the 9500 picked up the first signal but not the second and both appeared to be IO. Just a question. Where were each of the Rd’s mounted btw?
