It was a late … It was a late pickup because the cop was using a mode called instant-on radar…they leave their radar off until they see a car then they quickly turn it on and then off, leaving it on for only a split second, long enough to get a reading then shutting it off again. If a cop does this correctly, the radar detector would be useless unless you’re the last one in the pack in which case even after he turns it back off the waves from him hitting the first few cars are still picked up by the detector.
