For the average … For the average driver, it might pay for itself. However, I purchased my Valentine 1 a year ago, and it’s saved me from about $2000 in speeding tickets so far. Since I enjoy driving double the speed limit, spending an extra $3800 on countermeasures will only save me money. But like you said, it’s a hobby. A very, very fun hobby.
Pay for itself? I … Pay for itself? I don’t know. Quad LI($1200) $ a 9500ci($1600), even without installation that’s a lot of tickets. At some point this has turned into more of a hobby than anything. I does save your driving record though.
Thank you for your … Thank you for your very very quick response. It’s funny, you said exactly what was on my mind. I want the 9500ci for the radar, but I also want the LIs for jamming. And my budget isn’t a problem. After all, the system will save you the money that you used to pay for it.
I do, but this is a … I do, but this is a personal decision. I don’t know your detector budget. The 9500ci is quite a bit more sensitive than the SR7/X and is almost dead silent unless the alert is a LEO. I have the 9500ci’s jammers installed strictly as a backup system. My main jammers are LIs. I agree the ZR4s are subpar, but they will do the job in case my primary system is on the fritz. You could always install them and turn them off or put them in “receive only” mode.
great detection by … great detection by the 9500ci BUT the ramp is still better with the V1i don’t know what it is with the BELscort is they cn’t make a detector with a proper ramp-up
The V1 is mounted … The V1 is mounted perfectly, high, straight and level. The V1′s detection range was almost 2 miles, in the city, which is outstanding. The Escort 9500ci is just crazy sensitive, like nothing we’ve ever seen before. It’s worth the ridiculous price tag of $1600, if you’re like me and have to have the very best.

Do you think it’s worth the price if I only used the radar detector? I’m not a big fan of their jammers.
