Gun: Stalker ATR 34.7 Ka Band Radar – The gun is within calibration and was checked with a 40 MPH tuning fork prior to use. – The gun was pointed/shot at the same location each time. – Short bursts of instant on were used (enough time to acquire a vehicles speed) You can see V1′s superior detection and response time in this video. Had these been real scenarios the V1 would definitely edge out the Escort if any early detection was possible.

    My buddy has an S7 based escort, I fired short instant on bursts at him as well. The outcome was very similar to the M4 platform.

    I have a feeling that the 8500′s “superior” filtering capabilities ignore very weak and brief Ka signals.

    Thanks. I’m curious so see how a S7 would do compared to the V1, the S7s are supposed to be much better than the M4 when it comes to I/O..

    POP is on for both detectors, this is instant on not POP.
