  6. evobeatsvette005 Says:

the v1 would still kick its ass

not like it matters tho its pop its useless turn it off

  7. smadamaf Says:

The Escort 9500ix has the exact same radar and laser detection capabilities as the Escort 9500i so there is no need for a new radar detector test yet. Go to radardetectordotnet and the majority of users will tell you that the V1 is more sensitive to radar and laser than the Escort 9500 series.

  8. gmm3780 Says:

I am starting the believe that these sites are biased because other sites have different data and that one doesnt include the 9500ix which is newer than the 9500i… although it is virtually the same also that test i almost 2 years old….I actually got my 9500ix for $350 new in box

  9. smadamaf Says:

The V1 is actually $399 brand new and it still beats the $500 Escort 9500ix and the $450 Escort 9500i. Just go to Guysoflidardotcom and check their latest radar detector test.

  10. gmm3780 Says:

valentine 1 $499 …8500 $310….put the 9500ix next to it and lets see what happens…

  11. blown4six Says:

Very true. Just I dont know anyone who would pick one detector over another based on how well it did vs. another in detecting pop.

  12. spyderf16 Says:

You could check eBay or contact one of the manufactuers. You will need a Part 90 FCC license though.

  13. spyderf16 Says:

Although Pop Mode doesn’t hold up in court, detecting it does let you know if there are any police running radar nearby. This can be crucial since the officer could easily switch to normal mode whenever you get closer and then nail you to the wall.

  14. aafaking Says:

Does Cobra even make Radar Detectors??? (sarcasm)

  15. jacobkimgary Says:

I have POP disabled on all my RD so it doesn’t matter.

  16. ND4SPD16Y8 Says:

Why wouldn’t you compare the V1 with the 9500?

  17. Jackcc5 Says:

because they are stubbin. you know how old poeple get stuck in there ways. but hey thats not everyone i got the escort 8500 x50 blue display i love it but im not hateful to every other brand. i just down like the cheap ass ones because they set my detector off

  18. GrEeK335xi Says:

    rx65 or v1?

  19. rockets713 Says:

where can you buy one of those guns…i wanted to get a laser one

  20. btgebo Says:

why are radar detector owners so hateful to every other brand other than their own.

  21. yuyueyuyue Says:

    glad I had a V1

  22. smadamaf Says:

The 35 mph tuning fork to make sure the radar gun is tuned correctly.

  23. Dream83z Says:

both radar are better than cobra!

  24. Dawgz15 Says:

hold both the top two buttons together for two seconds. The x50 will go into program mode, from there press the left button which is the “review” button, go till u see BAND DFT. When u get to there, hit the right button which is “change” and keep pressing it slowly till you see POP….OFF, at that point press the MUTE button which is on the LENSE of the radar to the right. It should now read “POP….ON”. After you have done this, dont touch any button for 8 seconds

  25. Trooper45 Says:

what are you flashing up in your left hand when you shoot the gun?
