V1 3.872 falsing k for miles my 2nd day of ownership of this brand new Valentine 1 Radar Detector. The detector is running in A mode, default settings. Clearly, you can see that I’m driving in a rural area. There are no automatic door openers for miles. Why is my V1 falsing K so badly? So far, my 2 year old Escort 8500 x50 has been beating out or on par with the V1 when it comes to detecting real world LEO threats.

Another false alarm source could have been one of the vehicles ahead of you with a detector.

No the V1 doesnt have a guard for K band. Only for KA (cobras etc). You wont usually get a K band false from other detectors when driving as the signal is very weak like the Escort, but since the v1 is so close to the other detector, in your vehicle you will get them.
As mention by Jazzy you are not meant to run two detectors at once, as they definitely do interfere with each other.

does the v1 have k guard? Ive only seen the manual mention ka guard you were right about the x50 causing the k band falses

Did you have guard on? Could have been picking up the escort. V1 gives false K band on the Whistler sometimes. It is falsing for a reason, giving the escort wasn’t alerting I’d say its to do with that.
