well in my Subaru Impreza the fuse box is located under the dash on the drivers side on the wall. there show be a little cover that keeps dust from getting at it if you don’t know where your fuse box is the best thing to do is to get to an auto shop where they wire up stuff like car stearos. Auto eletrisions
it depens on if the officer is using constant on radar meaning he’s leaving it run. or if he is using instant on radar where he puts his radar on hold and then flicks it on to get speed then turns it off again. it also depens on how clear the road is. i have the same unit and the range verys sometimes its long some times its very short
it’s hardwired so the cord runs in the weather lineing and tucked up into the roof so there is no cord hanging down. it doesnt plug into the lighter socket it wires on to the Fuse box for power
well i havent tryed the bel rx65 but i have had the rx55 virson and i maintain that for radar its best mounted high. it works better mounted high because it gets a better view less things in the way and it can in through other cars or vans windscreen. you can put some dark window tint on the top of your windscreen depening on your laws. and stick the suckion cups on that and leave the antena hanging under the tinit
Um, a tv remote would set off laser, and yes the V1 gets this range plus more it’s just because of the strait road that makes the radar way more easier to see even cobras can be alright at detecting radar on strait roads. The environment your driving through makes your detector detect differently
this is bullshit range..i live in australia i have both r65 and this 50 one and no way it picks up this range..you must be using your remote tv in the car dude lol i mean serious i have had radar detectors for 6 years now and this range is bullshitt..is not right..even the v1 dosent get this range is only better by 10 seconds to other radars not this fucking far…and for the dude who asked about rx65..is shit radar never get it..sometimes you almost on top of a moltinover befor it goesof useles
Which is better on the highway the 8500X50, BELRX65, OR V1? And does it work better to mount it high on your windshield like that? I’ve seen some people do that. I can see your suction cups but where is the wire that usually hangs down? If you can answer each question please. Thanks

February 28th, 2010 at 3:05 am
The Bel STI Drver is what its really all about. I have heard that the RX65 is a poor detector vs STI Driver.

X50 is a pretty good detector, we’re bored because you showed us a Line of Sight warning. Even the cheapest unit could have picked that up.
February 28th, 2010 at 8:37 am
My x50 doesnt get range no-where near this
February 28th, 2010 at 9:34 am
The v1, i dont even own a v1 i own a passport and id rather have a v1 3 to 1 over the x50

You can keep volume down or you can use auto mute option.
February 28th, 2010 at 12:02 pm
