If you have the 8500 X50..keep it its still one of the best performing detectors money could buy. I see ur user id contains 300zx…do you own one? I own a 1990 silver 300zx
Cop didnt have is Radar Gun on, its a Radar Detector not a Cop Detector, also cops sometimes use Laser, in which ANY radar detector would be useless, if ur detector says Laser, he already has ur speed. (V1 is good at this but even then its still deadly)
got the same radar. but i was nxt to a cop and the shit wouldnt go off like wtf!.
any ideas what settings i should have it on
like turning off X-BAND? im in CALIFORNIA

haha..i havent been pulled over or gotten a ticket yet…this thing has saved my butt countless of times. i have only been pulled over in Cary for aving my bass to loud, but got off easy. Just keep in mind cops have oter methods of catching ur speed defeating Radar Detector Methods (Instand on, laser, etc) I have other videos on here that demonstrates three of the Top Radar detectors the Valentine1, Beltronics, and Escort. How’d you figure i was in raleigh?
you have to hit Both the City/Hwy button and Dimmer Button at the same time..then your in the program mode, i think its the first option, hit either the city or dimmer botton (cant remember which one) and it gives you a bunch of options of the display..just play around with it.

Mount it higher and hardwire it.
