Instant on kills. Apparently cops can’t “get on when they are on coming to you”. I know they can because, thats exactly how I got my very first ticket.
i have the x50blue and its awesome, true instant on and laser isnt full proof, but if theres cars infront of you they get hit first, then ur detector will warn you. My detector paid itsself a long time ago
So if you have the 8500×50 what you’re saying is that you shouldnt use instant on? Just wondering b/c I’m considering buying one and I hear it has very poor rear detection and you cannot set speed traps like the 9500i. They say another disadvantage is that is doesnt have the “arrows” like the V1 so the only time it will pick up radar is if it is in front of you, and I also hear that it is horrible against POP radar.
I dont care how fast your foot moves to the brake, it takes like 1/2 a second for a radar transmission to your car and back to his doppler. I dont care how fast you are, he’ll already have your speed with instant on.
dude he used “instant on “on you thats why u not pick him up its not yopur detectors fault no detector will pick up radar when its not turned on ! The trick they use is to not advertise there presence to much so the patrol with the Unit off when they see u coming BAM he hits the on button.. got ya!but if your are quick enough on the brake you wil be safe .
dude you got to shift your foot off the gas to the brake as guick as u can and get ya speed down as soon as you here the first beep or the Five O will lock your speed and pull you over ,if you are decellerating when he trys to lock your speed reading he will get nothing but a tumblin reading on his display !!! practise practise practise !!!
They can absolutely get you when they are comming towards you… and they can also get you from behind as you approach them while they are driving in the same or opposite direction.

No difference at all, It was instant on. He pulled the trigger when we were like 100 feet from him. Even a cobra would pick it up.

so do you think it would have been earlier with a V1?
