Possibly….Turn off POP first of all it is not used at all and maybe 1 out of 100 cops knows how to put their gun in POP mode. Its also illegal to issue tickets in POP mode.

As for the laser alerts you could turn off laser as well cause all the laser alert will be is notification that you have been shot at and he has your speed. Laser jammers are the only true protection against laser

Interesting b/c where I live, our cops use lidar (laser) and ive been shot at many times and I have 1 ticket b/c of lidar.

I know there is no way to use time to slow down against lidar, but i still want it on.

Anywho, Im still keeping this detector its an overall good one.

Its not a dumb question. Its easy, go into settings and then there is an option to display voltage, highway, city, different logos and such.

Just to let you guys know who care about this, I did some tests with my friends who all have the escort 8500 x50 red’s and we found out that if ur battery is low, or about to die this may happen with false laser alerts when turning on lights, flipping switches etc etc. Hope this helps. I got a new car battery and I no longer get false alerts.

umm accord right? if im not wrong?.
do u know if i turn the XBAND off if i will get any better K-bands detections? cause i recently been nxt to cops and it wouldnt ring for shit =( any ideas what settings would be best for it thanxx im in LA-CAL

The thing is, although there are police around, they don’t have to have their radars on. So although you SEE one, they could be just driving..
