The rx65 pick up instant on quite well. All the “professional reviewers” I have read condirm this. Just be forwarned. For any radar detector one needs some traffic ahead if the police are using “instant on” to alert you to is presence ahead of time. If you are the only one on the road you had better slow down a bit because it takes only a blink of an eye to get your speed with it.
Can you read graphs GZHgb< These are “instant on” results and the Rx-65 does quite well. Do you mean POP Radar? It is seldom if ever used By the police and almost all radar detector users shut this setting off including v1 users because their radar detectors false so much with it on.

btw you may have a “out of tune” rx-65. Pretty rare but it still does happen unlike v1′s who’s owner have to constantly send their units in for tune ups when their detection abilities become bad.

no radar detector is perfect the v1 has been beaten by the x50e some times on off axis alerts

Personally, i’ll trust the experts and my experience rather than the review done by one random person. My guess is that your unit is faulty.

our country pulse radar didn’t need man operate it to “instant on” ,it’s auto shoot radarwave with a software to control it transmit per 200ms…..

I am quite sure that RX65 needs some time to warm up everytime you switched on
