Escort 9500i vs. Valentine 1 Radar detectors?
Im looking to buy a radar, either the v1 or the escort 9500.
Everyone always says that the arrows make the v1 better but, regardless of where the cop is standing im still going to slow down, so in my opinion the arrows are useless.
Id like to know which is better at picking up lasers as well because alot of cops are starting to use those.
The 9500s situation ignorance is somewhat helpful but im worried it wont pickup radars when i really need it.
In the end i just want a radar that will pick up close to every radar/ laser
within a reasonable range

If you are concerned about police laser (LIDAR), your only alternative is a laser jammer. Most radar detectors will detect police laser, but by then it’s already too late. 0.2 seconds under the laser and your speed is recorded. A laser jammer detects and jams the laser gun, allowing you time to adjust your speed if necessary. Like radar detectors, laser jammers are also legal in nearly every state. There are a number of laser/radar combo systems, like the Escort Passport 9500ci, which includes the new Escort ZR4 laser jammer.

I’ve used both and like the Valentine. I don’t use either in town though. i don’t speed on surface streets.
